Excellent filters to reduce the overall brightness of an image to cut down glare. Useful for splitting binary systems, comfortably observing the moon, or stacking with other planetary filters. Retain true color balance since all wavelengths are transmitted uniformly over the entire spectrum. These neutral density filters are available in two transmissions that allow 25% or 50% of the visible light to pass through. Comes in a protective plastic storage box. Made in Japan.
The filter cells have threads on both sides, so you can stack them with each other or with other standard 2" filters. Combining the 25% and 50% filters will effectively produce a ND0.9 filter with 13% transmission.
Please note that the 50% filter cells and boxes we currently have are incorrectly labeled as being ND0.9 (or 13% transmission) filters. This label is incorrect and the "ND13" filter we send you is indeed a 50% transmission filter.
