By using this adapter, you can upgrade the stock focuser on the Celestron C100ED refractor with a beautiful GSO Crayford focuser.
- Adapter is machined from aluminum and anodized black to match the surface finish of the C100ED tube
- Lightweight (Approx. 3 oz)
- Very easy to install. Just unscrew the stock R&P focuser on the Celestron C100ED, screw this adapter on the tube in its place, and then attach the GSO 86mm Crayford Focuser to the adapter using the included M4 screws.
- Will work with GSO's 86mm Crayford Focuser (single or dual speed) and clones with an 86mm flange. Focuser sold separately.
- Finder Dovetail Base for Crayford Focusers highly recommended, since you will loose the built-in finder base on the stock C100ED focuser when you remove it.
- Relative to the stock focuser, the GSO Dual-Speed Crayford/Agena Adapter combination will allow additional in-focus travel which is a plus for imaging applications. On the flip side, our configuration will provide a little less back-focus travel compared to the stock focuser but this is easily remedied with an extension tube, if necessary.
- Important Note: Before ordering this item, please make sure you can unscrew the stock focuser from your telescope tube. It can be stiff on many scopes, and a couple of people have been unable to unscrew the R&P focuser.
