Collimating your
refractor a real chore? Simplify the
process with this handy accessory.
Collimating
your refractor is quick and easy when you use this 1.25” collimating
eyepiece. Simply cap the telescope,
remove the diagonal, and place the eyepiece in the focuser. Using either daylight or an artificial light
source shining in one opening in the eyepiece, look into the other opening, and
adjust the objective cell push-pullbolts until the images merge. That’s it!
The Cheshire
eyepiece fits in 1.25" focusers or in 2"-1.25" adapters.
This is a great accessory for precisely collimating your refractor telescope to achieve the best image the telescope can deliver. Instructions on how to use this can be found at this site (Scroll down about half-way at this link).
