This
is a high-quality Antares 1.25” 27mm Kellner eyepiece with focusable crosshairs (single),
perfect for alignment and tracking. To
obtain razor-sharp focusing of the crosshairs, merely turn the upper part of
the eyepiece. Focus markings on the
eyepiece barrel facilitate consistent focusing from session to session, no
matter what the sky conditions. This reticle focusing feature - rarely available in competing crosshair eyepieces - is a great boon if your eyesight is not 20/20 and if you wear glasses.
Whether
you want better Go-To, or more precise tracking, a crosshair eyepiece is a
must. You can combine this eyepiece with a barlow lens for even higher power and more accurate alignment. Another leading company sells a similar crosshair eyepiece but without the focusing feature for almost twice the price!
Please note that this eyepiece is not threaded to accept illuminators, so you cannot convert this into an illuminated reticle eyepiece. We also supply a free bolt case with each eyepeice. |
