Antares is very close to releasing the next shipment of their long-awaited 1529 6" Refractor. At this time, we are accepting pre-order deposits on a first-come-first-served basis. Antares has made only 30 telescopes in this production run (and may make another 10 in a month or so). But from the first 30, all scopes have been reserved by Antares' dealers. Of these, we have requested that 15 units of this scope be reserved for Agena customers. Antares has informed us that we will get at least 12, but this may change.
We have received almost 30 requests to be informed about the availability of this scope, so if you want one, we would highly recommend that you get on the order list as soon as possible.
Terms for pre-ordering:
1. A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to pre-order this telescope. This will be applied towards the price of the telescope when it is ready for shipping.
2. You can pre-order by adding this product to your shopping cart and checking out normally. Upon receipt of your order, we will inform you of your order # (1 to 15) for this scope. We will only accept 15 pre-orders at this time.
3. We will only accept credit cards for pre-order payments. No Paypal, checks or MO please. You can, however, pay for the telescope using any form of payment when it finally ships.
4. By pre-ordering, you agree that the actual date of shipping is unknown at this time. The telescopes are ready, but Antares is waiting for packing boxes/foam and an opportunity to star test the telescopes. Other dealers are telling their customers that the scope will ship in a week. Given that Antares has taken 7 months to get to this point, and has not been able to star-test any of their other scopes for the past 3 weeks because of bad weather, we would not bet on that!
The deposit will be non-refundable, except under the following circumstances:
2. If the shipment of your order is delayed past July 31, you may cancel and get a full refund.
3. If we are assigned fewer scopes than your number on our pre-order list, your payment will be refunded in full.
The deposit is non-refundable for any other reason.
When the scopes are ready to ship, we will contact you and give you additional instructions on remitting the balance. Thank you very much for your continued interest in this fine scope.
