Antares' 105mm "Vixen Spec" refractor telescopes are available in three focal lengths (1000mm, 1300mm or 1500mm) to suit your observing needs. All three models feature a fully multi-coated, air-spaced Fraunhofer doublet objective that is made to exacting standards by the same supplier to the Vixen brand in Japan.
These Antares Vixen Spec telescopes deliver crisp, high-contrast images with very controlled false color (chromatic aberration). The longer focal lengths on these models allow you to push higher magnifications for observations of the moon, planets and double stars, and they also provide very nice views of deep sky objects.
The optical tube features a 2" dual-speed Crayford 10:1 microfocuser for exceptionally smooth, backlash-free focusing, a 1.25" adapter (with brass compression ring), a collimateable cell and a dust cap. Also included with every OTA is a set of tube mounting rings. You will
need to supply a dovetail plate for your mount (EQ/CG compatible
dovetail plate sold separately). An 8x50 straight through finder with bracket is available as an option on some packages.
