The new Antares 90mm refractor telescope is offered in a focal length of 1000mm. This model features a fully multi-coated, air-spaced Fraunhofer doublet objective for very good optical performance.
The Antares 90mm telescope delivers crisp, high-contrast images with limited false color (chromatic aberration). The longer focal length on this model allows you to push higher magnifications for observations of the moon, planets and double stars, and it also provides very nice views of deep sky objects.
The optical tube features a 2" rack-and-pinion focuser with a 1.25" adapter and a dust cap. Also included with every OTA is a set of tube mounting rings. You will need to supply a dovetail plate for your mount (EQ/CG compatible dovetail plate sold separately). The R&P focuser can optionally be upgraded to a Crayford focuser. The Crayford focusers have brass compression rings on the 2" drawtube as well as in the 1.25" adapter.
