If there ever was a telescope that is as beautiful to look at as it is to look through, the Antares Sentinel refractor is it! This is essentially the same telescope that has been selling very well christened as the WO Zenithstar and Orion Express models.
The 80mm f/6 features very good optics in a compact tube and is the ideal telescope for wide-field star gazing, astrophotography, and terrestrial viewing - whether it be used as a dedicated instrument, a grab-and-go second scope, or as a high-end finder.
The objective lens is a fully multicoated, air-spaced, achromatic doublet (a competitor refers to this as a "semi-apo" telescope). The handsome, high quality, glossy black anodized tube features a retractable dewshield, a 2" 360° rotating Crayford focuser (with a 1.25" adapter and brass compression ring), and 15 internal baffles to eliminate light scatter to provide the highest contrast images. Also included is a mounting adapter plate with a standard 1/4"-20 thread to enable you to mount this beauty on photo or telescope tripods fitted with a compatible screw.
The basic package also includes an Antares 1.25" W-70 15mm eyepiece as well as a 45-degree Erect Image diagonal. The telescope comes in a foam-fitted carrying case and includes a dust cap. All Antares telescopes come with a two-year manufacturer's limited warranty.
