The FAR-Sight, by Farpoint Astronomical Research, is an elegant mounting and targeting system for binoculars.
- Durable and Attractive Stainless Steel Construction - Graceful and Ingenious Design - Works with Most Porro-Prism Binoculars - Compatible with Most Parallelogram Mounts or Tripod Heads - Comes with a Binocular Stud and Mounting Wrench
The FAR-Sight is designed to work with most parallelogram mounts or tripod heads and porro-prism type binoculars, as well as many larger roof-prism binoculars, that have a standard 1/4-inch mounting hole. The mounting hole may be found by unscrewing a cover at the end of the hinge between the objective barrels of the binoculars. The top of the FAR-Sight bracket is compatible with most red-dot finders, used to aid in locating objects of interest.
This heavy duty Binocular-to-Tripod L Adapter is perfect for mounting any size binocular with 1/4-20 threading to a 1/4-20 tripod head found on photo and telescope tripods (this product will not work with some binoculars that have an integrated center bracket). The L-bracket is made of black anodized aluminum (unlike some cheaper plastic ones you may see on the market) and features two mounting holes so that you can adjust the position of the bracket/binocular on your tripod for better balancing.
A single mounting stud is included with the purchase of FAR-Sight. Purchase additional mounting studs for use with multiple binoculars. (Extra studs may only be purchased as an option with the bracket. Studs are not sold separately).

Step Three: To attach your binoculars to the FAR-Sight, simply insert the mounting stud into the keyhole slot and...
Step Four: ... Press firmly in a downward motion to lock the binoculars onto the FAR-Sight.
Step Five: Swing the safety lock into place.
Step Six: Attach your favorite red-dot finder and you are ready to observe. When you are done observing, breakdown is a snap. Lift the safety catch and lift upward on the binoculars to unseat the quick-release mechanism. Leave your red-dot finder attached to the FAR-Sight for your next observing session.
