We are pleased to offer very high quality Barlow lenses from Guan Sheng Optics (GSO). These Barlows use two-element, fully-multicoated lenses with blackened edges for excellent color correction and sharpness. Guan Sheng is a leader in optical telescopes and accessories and their products have been sold for years by the "Big Three" (Meade, Celestron and Orion) under their own brand names. We are able to offer these same high-quality optical accessories for a lot less because of our lower overheads and markups.
A really nice feature of the GSO barlows is that the barlow elements are housed in a separate metal cell at the bottom that can be unscrewed from the upper tube. You can then screw the barlow element directly into eyepieces with standard 1.25" or 2" filter threads to increase the magnification of that particular eyepiece while still maintaining a low profile. Alternatively, you can use the tubes sans the barlow elements as 1.25" or 2" extension tubes also!
