All GSO Crayford focusers for reflector telescopes include a mounting base. However, you can also purchase additional bases. Bases fit on all single and dual speed GSO reflector Crayford models. Aluminum with black anodization. Available in 4 models.
Type 1A: Base Plate for 8"/10" Telescopes - GSO
* Direct bolt-on replacement for stock R&P focusers on 8"/10" GSO dobsonians sold under the following brand names:
Antares, DSH, Hardin Optical, Zhumell, DBA, and many others.
* Direct bolt-on for Celestron Star Hopper and Meade Light Bridge telescopes.
* Direct bolt-on for some Orion XT dobsonian telescopes.
Please measure hole spacing on your scope before purchase.
- Base plate curve diameter: 9.06" (230mm)
- Base plate dimensions: 3.54" x 3.54" (90mm x 90mm)
- Hole Spacing (center-to-center along telescope tube/optical axis): 70mm (2.76")
- Hole Spacing (center-to-center perpendicular to telescope tube; straight line measurement): 73mm (2.87")
- Hole Spacing (center-to-center perpendicular to telescope tube; measured along curve of base plate): 74mm (2.91")
Type 1B: Base Plate for 8"/10" Telescopes - Non GSO
* We got a bunch of these from a supplier and aren't sure what telescopes these would work with since the hole spacing is a bit different than the GSO plate above. Perhaps it is just the plate your non-GSO scope needs.

- Base plate dimensions: 3.62" x 3.62" (92mm x 92mm)
- Hole Spacing (center-to-center along telescope tube/optical axis): 75mm (2.95")
- Hole Spacing (center-to-center perpendicular to telescope tube; straight line measurement): 75mm (2.95")
- Hole Spacing (center-to-center perpendicular to telescope tube; measured along curve of base plate): 76mm (2.99")
Type 2: Base Plate for 12" and Larger Telescopes - GSO
* Direct bolt-on replacement for stock R&P focusers on 12" GSO dobsonians sold under the following brand names:

Type 3: Flat Base Plate
* Replaces OEM 8"/10"/12" curve bases if you need a flat mount.

- Hole Spacing (center-to-center perpendicular to telescope tube): 76mm (2.99")
- Plate thickness: 0.31" (8mm)
Additional Notes:
* You may need longer screws for some plates above as compared to the
ones you already have on your telescope (available for a few cents each
from any hardware store).
* Can be adapted to most other Dobsonian and Newtonian telescopes by drilling additional holes on the OTA if necessary.
